Maitland Spawns More Construction

Despite the building slowdown, at least one developer is keeping the faith. “We think the market is fine for the right product,” says Wesley Geys, president of Wescar Cos.
Wescar has plans for a $20 million development on Lake Shadow near Maitland. Geys believes that the location and lake views will ensure a successful project. Named Solis, the community is planned to be seven stories tall with 47 condos ranging from $300,000 to more than $800,000. Sales are planned for Spring with construction beginning over the summer.
